Mark Kern, ex-producer presso Blizzard che qualche tempo fa spiegò come l’azienda ormai non riesca più a capire i giocatori, è intervenuto nuovamente in maniera critica nei confronti questa volta di Sony.
In particolare, Kern si scaglia contro la divisione Sony USA, la quale starebbe obbligando la divisione giapponese a compiere numerose censure dunque prevalentemente nei confronti dei titoli giapponesi, creando così una nuova “ondata di puritanesimo“, facendo anche un parallelismo con il proibizionismo di una volta in territorio statunitense.
Effettivamente, alcuni esempi di questa pratica adottata ai videogiohi per PlayStation 4 si può riconstrare nelle censure avvenute in titoli come ad esempio Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal e Nora to Oujo to Noraneko Heart, mentre invece sulla piattaforma Nintendo Switch non è stato censurato nulla.
