Come confermato dallo studio di sviluppo 343 Industries qualche tempo fa, lo SlipSpace Engine è il nuovo motore grafico che farà girare non solo Halo Infinite, ma anche i futuri capitoli della serie fantascientifica di casa Microsoft. Comunque sia, sembra che lo sviluppo del motore di gioco in questione sia tuttora da rifinire anche considerando che passerà molto tempo ancora prima del lancio del videogioco.
Infatti, un annuncio di lavoro pubblicato sul sito web ufficiale del colosso di Redmond starebbe cercando una figura professionale che possa intraprendere il ruolo di Software Development Engineer, in grado di aiutare lo studio di sviluppo a costruire il motore SlipSpace. Nell’annuncio in questione, inoltre, appare esplicitamente il nome di Halo Infinite, annunciato soltanto due mesi fa, per cui dovrebbe trattarsi di una posizione lavorativa aperta recentemente.
Ricordiamo che Halo Infinite sarà disponibile esclusivamente per le piattaforme Windows 10 e Xbox One, con supporto alla console di metà generazione Xbox One X e al catalogo di Xbox Game Pass già dal lancio. Rimangono ancora dei dubbi, invece, riguardo al fatto che possa trattarsi o no di un titolo aderente al programma Xbox Play Anywhere.
Infine, per i più scettici a riguardo, vogliamo anche segnalare come sia stato confermato che il titolo non presenterà al suo interno alcuna modalità Battle Royale.

- Participate in code reviews of other developers on the core engine team
- Collaborate with engineering and creative content teams on features
- Provide work estimates and plans for core engine leads and production to scope, plan, and track feature work
- Author unit and regression tests to ensure stability
- Debug and fix issues in multiple areas of the engine
Qualifications
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional C/C++ development experience
- Experience working on a shipped game title
- 4 years degree in computer science or engineering
Bonus:
- Experience shipping AAA games on Xbox One or PC
- Experience with multiple AAA game engines
- Strong debugging skills
- Deep understanding of multithreading
- Experience with performance analysis and associated tools such as PIX
