Konami Digital Entertainment (KONAMI) e Laced Records collaborano ancora una volta per portare in vinile la colonna sonora rielaborata del compositore storico della serie Silent Hill, Akira Yamaoka, per Silent Hill 2, il remake uscito a fine 2024.
I preordini sono aperti sullo store Laced per il cofanetto 6LP in edizione limitata, che include la colonna sonora completa di 93 tracce, masterizzata appositamente per il formato vinile. Il cofanetto vanta LP in vinile pesante, con effetto lato A/lato B, in esclusiva per Laced, di colore marrone opaco + rosso, e un booklet artistico di 32 pagine con note di copertina esclusive scritte da Akira Yamaoka. Le illustrazioni sono di Bloober Team.
È disponibile anche per il preordine un doppio set di LP con 27 tracce sequenziate dal compositore. Gli LP in vinile pesante, trasparenti e lattiginosi, esclusivi di Laced, sono disponibili in buste interne stampate, il tutto contenuto in una busta esterna a dorso largo.
Akira Yamaoka ha completamente rielaborato la colonna sonora del remake acclamato dalla critica di Bloober Team. Le tracce inedite e ri-registrate di SILENT HILL 2 (2024) catturano perfettamente l’atmosfera inquietante della città che dà il titolo al gioco, fondendo elementi di trip-hop e industrial rock con atmosfere dark e musica concreta. Questa nuova colonna sonora risulterà familiare e al tempo stesso nuova per i fan più accaniti dell’amata serie survival horror.
Il compositore di SILENT HILL 2, Akira Yamaoka, afferma:
“Dopo quasi un quarto di secolo, SILENT HILL 2 è tornato in vita. Ho riversato un’enorme quantità di pensiero e passione in questa cosa chiamata SILENT HILL. Riviverla ha evocato un’emozione speciale che non avevo mai provato prima, come se stessi toccando il respiro di Dio. Scrivere questa musica è stata una sfida personale, ma provo un profondo senso di gratitudine verso le persone in tutto il mondo che amano questa serie da così tanto tempo.”
