La ventottesima edizione dei DICE Awards ha celebrato i migliori videogiochi del 2024, con Astro Bot che si conferma il grande protagonista dell’evento. Il platform di Team Asobi, già considerato uno dei giochi più premiati dell’anno, ha conquistato il titolo di Game of the Year, rafforzando la sua posizione tra i migliori platform degli ultimi decenni.
Oltre al premio principale (ottenuto anche ai The Game Awards 2024 e non solo), Astro Bot ha trionfato anche nelle categorie “Outstanding Achievement in Animation”, “Outstanding Technical Achievement”, “Family Game of the Year” e “Outstanding Achievement in Game Design”.
Helldivers 2 ha lasciato il segno con quattro premi, tra cui “Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition”, “Outstanding Achievement in Audio Design”, “Action Game of the Year” e “Online Game of the Year”. Anche Indiana Jones e Balatro hanno brillato con tre premi ciascuno, consolidando la loro importanza nell’industria videoludica.
Tra gli altri vincitori spiccano Black Myth: Wukong per la direzione artistica, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle per la narrativa e Metaphor: ReFantazio come miglior gioco di ruolo. Tekken 8 ha dominato la categoria dei picchiaduro, mentre F1 24 ha vinto come miglior gioco di corse. Balatro, il fenomeno indie, si è imposto in più categorie, incluso “Outstanding Achievement for an Independent Game” e “Strategy/Simulation Game of the Year”.
A chiudere la serata, l’Academy Hall of Fame ha premiato Ted Price, ex CEO di Insomniac Games, per il suo contributo all’industria videoludica. Un riconoscimento che lo colloca accanto a leggende come Shigeru Miyamoto e Hideo Kojima.
I DICE Awards continuano a rappresentare un punto di riferimento nel settore, premiando le migliori esperienze videoludiche dell’anno. Il trionfo di Astro Bot conferma la qualità e l’innovazione che Team Asobi ha saputo portare nel mondo dei videogiochi.
