Nelle scorse ore Geoff Keighley ha ospitato l’edizione 2021 dei The Game Awards, evento che ha visto non pochi annunci interessanti oltre alle immancabili premiazioni dei titoli migliori dell’anno ormai sul viale del tramonto.
Il grande vincitore della serata è stato It Takes Two, titolo cooperativo ad opera di Hazelight, lo studio fondato da Josef Fares, che si è portato a casa il premio più prestigioso per il Game of the Year, oltre al Best Family Game e Best Multiplayer.
Anche Playground Games è stato un grande protagonista dei The Game Awards 2021, con Forza Horizon 5 che si è portato a casa tre premi: Best Audio Design, Best Sports/Racing e Innovation in Accessibility. Proseguendo tra i titoli vincitori troviamo Deathloop di Arkane Studios, che si è portato a casa i riconoscimenti per la miglior game direction e per la migliore direzione artistica, mentre Kena: Bridge of Spirits, il primo titolo di Ember Labs, si è portato a casa il premio come miglior indie e miglior debutto indipendente.
Final Fantasy XIV Online si è aggiudicato invece un paio di premi per Best Community Support e Best Ongoing Game.
